The Catalyst Black community consists of players from all over the world who come together to enjoy the social experience of gaming. This community code of conduct offers some guidance on how we together can strengthen and support each other and our shared experience.
The Code of Conduct is shared by all contributors and players who engage with the Catalyst Black team and all community platforms.
This is a summary of the shared values and “common sense” thinking in our community. The basic social ingredients that hold our community together include:
- Be nice
- Be respectful
- Be collaborative
- Be considerate
- Have fun
This code of conduct reflects the agreed standards of behaviour for players who choose to participate in any of the platforms that form the Catalyst Black Community. All members of the community will act according to these standards and will defend the Code of Conduct for the benefit of everyone in the community. Anyone who leads any group which gathers parts of the community together will exercise the right to suspend access to anyone who persistently breaks the shared Code of Conduct.
Be nice
We all want to share the same experience and we are part of the same community. Generally, just be a nice person! Welcome new members to the community and be friendly.
Be respectful
Do not get into fights, make personal attacks, rant, or create unconstructive discussions. Be constructive and respectful in the way you communicate with your fellow community members. You respect everyone regardless of their background, identity, physical appearance, or beliefs.
Be Collaborative
Share knowledge. Help each other out. Work together to create an awesome community and gaming experience for everyone.
Be considerate
Your words and actions will affect others. Be considerate when communicating with others. If you are frustrated, you are likely to receive more help from others if you engage in accurate and well-mannered communication.
Have fun
It is important that everyone is enjoying their community experience. Have fun, but not at the expense of others.
BE THE BEST KIND OF EVIL.
We do not accept the following behavior in our community:
- Hate speech, offensive behaviour, or verbal abuse related to sex, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, religion, or skill level.
- Spamming, raiding, hijacking, or inciting disruption of streams or social media.
- Posting or threatening to post other people’s personally identifying information (“doxxing”).
- Harassment, bullying, threats, and insults.
- Stalking or intimidation (physically or online).
- Sexual language and imagery
- Sexist, racist, or exclusionary comments or jokes
We do not tolerate harassment or hate speech in any form. Anyone violating these rules in our related communities and spaces will result in warnings and can result in being kicked/banned/removed from the Catalyst Black community. If you do not agree with this policy, we are not the community for you.
Everyone should take responsibility for the community and take the initiative to diffuse tension and stop negative behaviour as early as possible.
